As a (non-native) northerner I feel that the author's use of sking and snowboarding to convey the Vermont lifestyle is pretty accurate, but not to the degree of Stacy's love of skiing. (Abigail McNally)

I think in some ways Stacey does represent a native Vermonter. Like her love for skiing and being outside in the cold air going down the mountain. But, I wouldn't say that Author and I see Vermont in the same ways. I feel like the author only sees Vermont in the winter as a skiing/ snowboarding place when that's not all Vermont has to offer in the winter.

As I am a non-native Vermonter, I believe that the author demonstrates only one area of native Vermonters, not the entire package. They magnified on the snow-sporting aspect of the people and didn't expand much on the other parts that the peoe in the state of Vermont have to offer. However, I do know that some of the people who live here are passionate about skiing and snowboarding and would go to the extent that Stacey did to follow this passion.
